Caring for your yarn Our yarn is two-ply, 100% wool. Each skein is 4 ounces (113 grams). To care for your creations, hand wash them with mild soap in lukewarm water and lay them flat to dry. We have two sizes (Each color comes in just one length, although all skeins are the same weight - 4 ounces.) 272 yards (248m); gauge: 20 stitches = 4 inches (10cm) on 4.5mm needles. 215 yards (196m); gauge: 17 stitches = 4 inches (10cm) on 5mm needles.
